DIRT LAB is part of the Josephmark Group, grown out of our experience in venture building and love for the agricultural industry.

Having grown up in regional Australia and then spent two decades working around the world in big cities building Josephmark our co-founder Ben felt a calling to move back to the land 10 years ago and has since spent his spare time building The Falls Farm.
Ben says that “even though farming from the outside appears to be quite a simple business model, the complexities I’ve come to understand have infused into how we think about business and how we are choosing to navigate new frontiers.”

Born in the Territory and raised on a cattle farm in northern NSW, Jessie has worked across the globe in research and technology commercialisation.For Jessie, creating DIRT LAB allows her to meld her roots with her expertise and she’s looking forward to continuing to work with all the innovators across rural, regional and agricultural Australia.

After working around the world and Aus in consulting and on a number of start-ups, Jess settled in QLD’s Southern Downs a few years ago and has been building a grazing business (with a small vineyard on the side). For the past few years, Jess has been building ventures at our parent company Josephmark.
Jess loves the nuance in agriculture and is excited to delve deeper into this broad industry as we look to build and partner with businesses transforming farming, food and supply chains.
